How do you do suprapubic Cystostomy?
Via an open approach, in which a small infraumbilical incision is made above the pubic symphysis. Via a percutaneous approach, in which the catheter is inserted directly through the abdominal wall, above the pubic symphysis, with or without ultrasound guidance or visualization through flexible cystoscopy.

How long does a suprapubic catheter last?
How long should this device stay inserted? An SPC usually stays inserted for four to eight weeks before it needs to be changed or removed. It may be removed sooner if your doctor believes that you’re able to urinate on your own again
